Pay Rate: $31 per hour without benefits
$28 per hour with benefits (medical, vision, & dental)
Schedule: (1) LVN for 6:00am to 2:00pm shift along with rotating weekend
(4) LVNs for 2:00pm to 10:00pm shift with rotating weekends.
HOPEWELL STAFFING is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse III for a facility in the MEXIA, TX area to provide routine vocational nursing work to provide the following essentials job functions:
- Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.
- Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations after demonstration for competency.
- Documents and reports pertinent observations.
- Communicates orally and in writing to other team members’ pertinent information. Documents according to facility policy.
- Responds to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals. Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of facility.
- Monitors patients for treatments and procedures.
- Collects samples for laboratory examination and performs routine lab tests on samples, as required.
- Counsels patients with specific health goals.
- LVN assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments.
- Ensures that supplies are available.
- Locates, transports and handles client record.
- Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
Registration or Licensure Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved vocational or practical nursing education program accredited by the Texas State Board of Nursing
- Must be licensed to practice as a licensed vocation nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact
- Must have 2 years experience
- Must be able to work evening shift
- Must commit to at least a 6-month contract
